Accreditation of the Watson School

 

Binghamton University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. This accreditation process examines the institution as a whole. For accreditation purposes the University is listed as SUNY at Binghamton.

The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology – ABET – offers accreditation of undergraduate programs. For accreditation purposes the Watson School is listed as State University of New York at Binghamton.

The Accreditation Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012, telephone: (410) 347-7700 has accredited the following programs in the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science:

Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC)
Computer Engineering (BS)
Industrial and Systems Engineering (BS)
Electrical Engineering (BS)
Mechanical Engineering (BS)

Computer Accreditation Commission (CAC)
Computer Science (BS)

The Bioengineering program will have its first accreditation visit in Fall 2007.
